ISS Airview, the UK’s pioneering international trade, investment, and innovation hub headquartered at Newcastle International Airport, proudly announces the appointment of Sharon Jandu OBE as its new Strategic Partnerships & External Engagements Director for India.
This key leadership appointment marks a strategic milestone in ISS Airview’s global expansion, particularly as it accelerates its presence in Bangalore and across the broader Indian subcontinent—one of the world’s most dynamic and fast-growing markets.
Sharon brings with her a powerful combination of commercial insight and policy expertise, underpinned by deep-rooted relationships across India's trade, government, and business sectors. With long-standing ties to key organisations such as the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), and Karnataka Chamber of Commerce, Sharon is uniquely positioned to forge transformational partnerships that connect Indian enterprises to global opportunities.
“India is not only a strategic growth market—it’s a beacon of innovation, entrepreneurial spirit, and international ambition,” said Ammar Mirza CBE, Executive Chairman of ISS Airview. “Sharon’s appointment is a game-changer. Her unmatched experience, respected voice in the global diaspora, and inclusive leadership will ensure our Bangalore hub becomes a thriving gateway for businesses looking to expand both into and out of India.”
In her role, Sharon will:
Drive Market Entry: Facilitate strategic collaborations with Indian investors, government bodies, and trade agencies to support UK and global businesses entering the Indian market.
Champion Inclusive Innovation: Leverage her background in ethnic minority business advocacy to promote diversity, equity, and innovation in trade.
Accelerate Strategic Expansion: Position the Bangalore ISS Airview hub as a launchpad for Indian scaleups and a landing zone for international investment.
“I’m honoured to join ISS Airview at such a pivotal moment,” said Sharon Jandu OBE.
“India’s ambition and ISS Airview’s mission are perfectly aligned. Together, we can unlock powerful trade flows, empower diverse entrepreneurs, and build a truly global innovation ecosystem.”
With hubs now operational in Newcastle and launching in Teesside, Riyadh, and Bangalore, ISS Airview is on a mission to create the world’s leading network of trade and investment centres. Sharon’s appointment reinforces this mission and strengthens its 3IP model—Investment, Innovation, and Internationalisation—anchored in People, Place, and Programmes.
